Customer Service

CREAM is set up to develop "Customer driven rail-freight services".

At this place we will keep you informed about the services, developed in the framework of CREAM. Besides that CREAM will support customers, which want to use rail freight services on the corridor in general. Therefore additional useful information will be provided here during the project lifetime, e.g. on terminals, timetables etc.

For the development of these services we basically back on the experience of our partners and their customers. If you would like to submit your specific ideas and requirements for future services or to get in touch with the CREAM team, please write to customerservice@cream-project.eu.

In the first project phase in 2007 an analysis of customer requirements has been carried out for rail services towards South-East Europe, taking into account results of a questionnaire survey. Backing on these findings the CREAM partners have elaborated new innovative rail operation concepts, which they successively turn into practice in the period 2008 - 2010. Some of them listed below:

  • "Bosphorus-Europe-Express (BEEX)" connecting Ljubljana and Halkali (new service since 03/2008)
  • "Adria-Express" service between Munich and Ljubljana (feeder service to the BEEX train; extended towards Duisburg and Cologne in 2/2010)
  • "Hungaria-Express" connecting Ludwigshafen, Wels and Budapest (transport of temperature-controlled semitrailers since 4/2008)
  • ISU Train Wels – Halkali (pilot operations in 2009; start of regular operation expected for 2010/2011)
  • Trans-Romanian Express (T-Rex) Genk-Oradea (extensions towards Bukarest / Constanta planned for 2010)
  • Multi-modal service of semi-trailers on the route Turkey – Triest – Germany (new service since 04/2009)
